Aasma neighborhood

In late September 2015, as the second group of displaced residents returned to Abu Hamam, the bodies of 12 victims were discovered on the Hajji Road in the Aasma neighborhood of Abu Hamam. According to witnesses who were present during the exhumations, the victims appeared to have been killed by beheading or gunfire.

Their remains were later reburied by their families and local residents.
